Staging

Given the current circumstances,  playing inside a theatrical venue is out of the question. When the show was being staged in Paris (which had been the center of the pandemic in France) our team strictly followed the government guidelines for progressive reopening. This led us to our current 2 actor, 1 stage manager, 15 audience member set up.

As the show continues to open around the world, our original and local creative teams continue to adapt daily to adhere to new local and national guidelines.

Scenic creations and performance technologies designed by Rimini Protokoll, Christiane Jatahy, Vincent Macaigne, and various other performance based artists have helped us to develop C-Ω-N-T-α-C-T in its current form.

Security measure number 1 : outdoor performance

Security measure number 2 : audiences must bring their own devices (which will be used for both ticketing and performance aspects) thus avoiding any physical contact.

Security measure number 3 : maintaining physical distancing at all time

Security measure number 4 : social gatherings are limited to small groups. We’ve therefore reduced the number of patrons per show, and added more performances.
